I love this ad! It's not lacking of a few stereotypes but I must admit they are all pretty true.
The family concept is what always come up in these Fiat ads, and how couldn't it be? Family is certainly a strong value in Italy and quite characteristic of our culture. Being very expressive is definitely another good one! When we talk we don't only use our mouth but every single muscle of our body and face! If we are happy we will contagious you with our happiness but if we are angry, you will probably not like being too close!:-) Look at the style! Perfectly dressed and stylish in every occasion! Did you notice how the two Americans changed style at the end of the video? Coffee? No americanos! he he! A little espresso is what we need to keep us awake! Last but not least, the Italian romanticism! How not to fall for someone writing such nice words in a so beautiful language? :-) Italians! Always a step ahead! :-)

22/4/2013 0 Comments Un amico e'For all the HSC students, but also to everyone else who would like to read something about friendship, here a nice poem describing what "un amico" is.
By Volare 1 16/4/2013 0 Comments Speaking Italian is always fun! There are many stereotypes around Italy and Italians, and I must say that they all make me laugh! Some are actually quite true, some others not completely but it's always interesting to see how people from other countries see us.

Last year I have been to Venice for the second time in my life, the first time I was only little and I didn't remember much at all. That's why I wanted to go back and experience the quintessential romantic city with my partner who hadn't been there before. We got there by train from Como, my home town, and from the moment we left the train station we felt like we entered into another world, a magic world! The canals, the bridges, the gondolas, everything is so unique and different from any other place! What we most loved was to walk through the narrow streets outside the busy places. Piazza San Marco, Ponte Rialto, Ponte dei sospiri are beautiful art works but it was by walking into the less touristy areas that we most appreciated the city. One night we went to "San Pietro" for "La Festa del Castello" where we got to eat the typical food from the area and we even watched the world cup match Italy Vs.Germany amongst the locals! We loved it so much! That's my suggestion for all of you, go to see this fantastic city and explore the outskirts, wander around the infinite streets and... find the magic! If you want to get an idea of what I am talking about, take few minutes to watch and listen to this video! Vivaldi's music will make you dream and will be font of new inspirations. You have got my word! Enjoy!
FINALMENTE ESTATE!Summer is my favourite season, I love the heat, the relaxed atmosphere, the long days, the swims, bbq, beach parties; I think I love everything about Summer... well mosquitos excepted! :-) When I was in Italy I probably loved it even more because winter in Lake Como was so long and cold compare here! Summer also meant holidays for us as it is the season where usually companies close and you are allowed to take leave. It is a special time of the year for which they have made many songs and movies. Here you can listen to a song from "Negramaro" called “Estate”. Enjoy! :-). Buon divertimento! |
