14/11/2025 0 Comments November 14th, 2025A Year Without Travelling: Busy, Fulfilling… and Now Ready to Wander AgainThis past year has been my first non-travel year in a long time. No airports, no boarding passes, no late-night packing. My passport has probably felt a bit neglected!
But even without travel, it has been one of the most rewarding and meaningful years. Our language school has grown, welcomed wonderful new students, and shared countless moments of learning, laughter, and connection. I’ve been fully immersed in classes, planning, projects, and all the beautiful chaos that comes with running a school I love so much. Staying in one place gave me time to build, improve, and focus. And for that, I’m grateful. Yet as the end of the year approaches, something familiar is stirring again: the desire to travel. It’s a gentle tug at first—then suddenly it becomes a need. To hear different languages around me. To order food in another country. To get lost in new streets. To feel that mix of excitement and curiosity that only travel brings. Travel has always been part of my own learning journey. It’s where languages come alive—on trains, in cafés, in conversations with people you’d never meet otherwise. After a year of being grounded, I can feel that spark returning. And I know many of you feel it too. Whether you’re learning Italian, French, or Spanish, the dream of using your language skills abroad is often the biggest motivation. That moment when you understand a menu… or ask for directions… or have your first full conversation with a local—that’s when everything clicks. So as I start imagining my next trip (even if I don’t know where yet!), I hope you also keep nurturing your own travel dreams. Because whether you’re planning for next year or simply building confidence for the future, every class you take brings you one step closer to that experience. Here’s to a year of learning, growing, staying grounded…and maybe soon, a year of exploring again.
