A2.1 (Pre-Intermediate A)
Evening classes: Monday 6.30pm -8.00pm from 14th October 2024
Requirements
This course is suited to people who have studied present and past tenses in previous courses and that are ready to learn more advanced grammar topics and expand their vocabulary into more elaborated conversations. What will you learn ( amongst other topics) Going clothes shopping, express doubts, express opinions and give/ask for advice. Talk about past memories, things we used to do, describe situations in the past. Grammar: Imperfect tense and imperative are the main grammar topics will be covered in this course. Duration: 9 weeks ( with a minimum of 5 students) Material not included. |
A2.2 (Pre-intermediate B)

Requirements
This course is suited to people who can discuss topics in the present tense and that is practising the use of the past in both passato prossimo and imperfetto. What will you learn ( amongst other topics) Describe people more in depth. Ask politely for things, favours and help. Make proposals, suggestions, give and receive advice, express wishes. Grammar: The conditional mode in the present tense, direct and indirect object pronouns used in the past; pronouns "che"and "cui", are the main grammar topics will be covered in this course. A2.3 (Pre-intermediate C)

Requirements
This course is suited to people who can use present, past tense ( passato prossimo and imperfetto) including reflexive verbs in both tenses. Also need to be able to talk about their job, hobbies and daily routines. What will you learn ( amongs other things): Talking about one's eating habits, grocery shopping, writing shopping lists and talking about typical Italian recipes and one's favorite recipe. Learn to express needs, express opinions, express more feelings, surprise, regret, disappointment.. Grammar: Difference between passato prossimo and imperfetto ( in depth); verbs sapere and conoscere and different meanings in the past tenses. Irregular imperative, negative imperative, use of pronouns with the imperative. A2.4 (Pre-intermediate D)
Requirements
This course is suited to people who can use present, past tense ( passato prossimo and imperfetto), has a knowledge, but need to improve, the use of the conditional mode in the present tense and the imperative. What will you learn ( amongs other things): During this course, students will have the chance to review the imperative, the conditional and the latest topics touched in the previous courses. We will practice conversation on all different situations using all tenses and modes covered. Grammar: Future tense and direct and inderect pronouns are two of the main grammar points covered in this course. A2.5 (Pre-intermediate E)
Evening classes: Thurssday 6.30pm -8.00pm from 17th October 2024
Requirements
This course is suited to people who can discuss topics using present and past tenses, and know how to talk about future events. Students need to have covered the conditional and the imperative modes in past classes. What will you learn ( amongs other things): This is the last course of our Pre-Intermediate levels. A few new topics will be introduced but we will give particular importance to the actual level of the students and we will try to revise, through drills and conversations, all differet topics and grammar rules. A few small assessment will be done through the duration of the course to make sure everyone is up to speed and ready to jump to our Intermediate levels. This course, is a great opportunity to consolidate one's knowledge and is a good level to be repeated a few times, when necessary.
