Italian for kids
Give your kids the gift of a new language
Italian classes for toddlers and kids from 4 years old to teen ages
At The Language Hub, we strongly believe that children should begin learning a foreign language as early as possible - even babies can absorb a new language if they're exposed to it! Our motto is "never too early and never too late," so regardless of your child's age, there's no better time to start learning than now.
Our Italian classes are some of the most popular among the language courses we offer. Since 2011, we've been providing top-notch Italian language education to students in Manly, and we're proud to say that our little students keep coming back term after term with excellent results.
Parents choose our Italian classes for their children for several reasons, including
- Italian background: Many of our young students have one or both parents from Italy. Their parents are eager for their children to learn the language, and while they may speak Italian at home, they often find that their children need additional encouragement to speak the language more confidently. Our Italian classes provide the perfect environment for this, as children can see their peers having fun while speaking the language, which in turn motivates them to do the same.
- Travelling or Relocating to Italy: It's becoming increasingly common for families to plan travel or even move to Italy for a variety of reasons. Having a basic understanding of the Italian language can make things easier for everyone, especially for children who are often more exposed to the language. Arriving in Italy with some knowledge of the language can help families navigate their new surroundings with more confidence and ease, making the transition smoother and more enjoyable.
Benefits of Learning Languages: Parents recognize that learning a language is like having an extra superpower - it's an asset for individuals, families, and society as a whole. Bilingual children develop better communication skills and are more likely to empathize with others, which can lead to stronger relationships and a greater understanding of diverse cultures.
Furthermore, bilingual children develop a strong sense of their cultural identity, which can improve their mental health and establish a strong sense of self-worth. And finally, speaking multiple languages can open up a vast range of career opportunities that are not available to monolingual speakers. In short, the benefits of learning a new language are numerous and long-lasting, making it a valuable investment in your child's future.
At our language school, our Italian classes are designed to be casual, friendly, and most importantly, fun! Our native Italian teachers lead the classes and engage students in interactive activities, songs, and games to help them learn the language in an enjoyable way.
To ensure that every child receives personalized attention and care, we keep our class sizes small. Our classes run for 8 weeks, following the school terms, with one class per week. By providing a nurturing and stimulating environment, we aim to create a positive and memorable learning experience for each and every one of our students.

Pre-school kids - Bimbi 1
Thursdays 3.45pm-4.30pm From 30th July
|
Our Italian Pre-schooler classes run for 9 weeks, with each session lasting 45 minutes. These classes are not designed for a specific level, as children of this age learn best together through play and interaction. The focus is on helping them feel comfortable with the language while having fun and naturally engaging with Italian.
Children will be introduced to Italian through enjoyable activities such as drawing, colouring, games, and songs, with no emphasis on reading or writing at this stage. Our Bimbi 1 classes are designed for children aged 4 to 6 years old, whether they are complete beginners or have some prior exposure to Italian. Our teachers communicate in Italian as much as possible, while using English when needed to support understanding and reinforce key concepts. Our goal is to create a fun, relaxed environment where children can build confidence and develop a positive connection with the language. |

FAQ
can parents, carers be in class with the kids
For small kids, if necessary, we encorauge parents/carers to stay in class for awhile, especially the first and second class. After that, when kids feel comfortable with the teacher and the other children we suggest to wait in our reception room, just outside the classroom, as we find that kids listen and focus more without the parents/carers in class. For older kids, you are welcome to wait at the reception or to go out and come back when class is finished.
Do we need to buy material?
No, material is included. We give handouts to take home so you can practise with your kids at your own time.
WHAT HAPPENS IF WE MISS A CLASS?
We offer discounts in case you are missing 3 or more classes in a term, provided you tell us before term starts. If it is a one off, you are welcome to join another class at any time, provided we offer the same age group class at any other time.
