I fit in... Nicely!

Our second week in Como has been absolutely amazing!

We've been enjoying shopping for clothes, savoring delicious food, exploring the sights, spending time with family and friends, going horse riding in my old stomping ground, visiting the local open markets, and of course, indulging in more food.

Each day is filled with small but meaningful moments.

However, the best part has been the people! Everyone here has been incredibly welcoming, kind, generous, and caring. It's impossible not to feel loved in this place! At least that's how I feel right now—loved and happy! Life couldn't be any sweeter!

Another thing I've noticed is how well I fit in here! What I mean is that I feel like I truly belong. Everything seems to be just right for me—clothes, food, cars, places, streets, and even the soft lighting feels more gentle and comforting. Please don't get me wrong, I absolutely love Australia, and I'm not complaining. But here in Italy, everything feels more suited to me.
The clothes fit me much better, the cars are the perfect size, the narrow streets don't feel so narrow to me, and I must admit, the food (and yes, the drinks) goes down so well...maybe even a bit too well!

And let's not forget about the language! Even though I've been in Australia for 17 years, Italian is still my first language. The ease of interacting with people and the confidence that they'll understand my jokes,  make me feel like myself!

All in all, my time in Como has been absolutely wonderful. The warm and welcoming atmosphere, the feeling of belonging, and the comfort of speaking my first language have made it truly special. I'm grateful for this opportunity to immerse myself in such a beautiful place, surrounded by amazing people. I look forward to the days ahead, tomorrow we are heading to Rome! Whooo! New adventures!
